ZAYO is a work that is near and dear to my heart because its journey is a reflection of my own in many ways. This work reflects a conversation with the Ancestors as The Chosen One goes through a series of test to fulfill their destiny towards ancestral ascension. How do you know you are ready for the journey ahead? Do the tests that manifests meant to make you or break you? I had been stuck for a number of years with where ZAYO was meant to go. Listening to yourself and trusting that when the stars align all things will fall into place. This year began that journey. I am excited to say I was recently selected to be apart of Citadele Companie upcoming Spring Mix in collaboration with National Ballet of Canada. I want to extend a big thank you to both organizations in making this opportunity possible. It has been some time since I’ve presented a work in Toronto and I’m looking forward to sharing this with community.
